IT'S BACK! IT'S BACK! IT'S BACK!!! YES YOU'RE NOT SEEING THINGS!

Cineleisure's Next Online Sensation is back in its 3rd edition in search for the next social media savvy youth, who is able to represent and promote the different food, fashion, and leisure facets of Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. So whether you're the popular kid on the blog or the next big thing, this is your big break!!!

THIS YEAR WILL BE A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT FROM THE PAST 2 SEASONS!

Participants will put their skills to the test in challenges from the various categories:

  • Food & Beverage Presentation
  • Fashion & Entrepreneurship
  • Lifestyle & Virality
  • Live Event Coverage

Participants will be scored and judged by resident judge and celebrity blogger Bong Qiu Qiu, Maureen Ow also known as MissTamChiak and Blogger Entrepreneur Sheila Tham!

The Winner will be awarded with $1,000 cash, an OLYMPUS PEN Camera, a larger-than-life-size poster advertisement and a year-long supply of Cathay Cineplexes movie vouchers!

There are also 3 other titles to grab, including the Overnight Sensation, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up all with awesome prizes to bag as well!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now let me share a bit about my past experience as a CNOS participant.

CHALLENGE 1 (NomNom Challenge)

So from the title, you already know it's  a food challenge, and we have 2 requirements for this, to recommend F&B outlets "When You're Going Out On A Date" AND "When You're Rushing For A Movie"

The participants had a hard time cracking their brains for this. Me too! But thank god I have my friends that helped me out for this challenge! Friends are really important!!!

CHALLENGE 2 (Entertainment @E2Max)

For this challenge, we had to recommend what are the things we could do at E2Max, and also a milestone video that we can do at E2Max. Sounds difficult aye?!!!

When this challenge was announced, this was when most of the CNOS 2 participants bonded and became friends, because we thought of coming out with something big, like maybe we could do a video together and really create a milestone as CNOS 2 participants together.

This is what we came up with, and we managed to impress QiuQiu with our Harlem Shake video. Hahah! #AchievementUnlocked #CNOS2Milestone

CHALLENGE 3 (#OOTD @Cineleisure)

For challenge 3, we had to create an Outfit Of The Day for both Male and Female from the list of selected stores at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard.

Some of us had a hard time finding the other gender to help them, well for me, luckily I have Angie!!! YAY!

LookBook boy LookBook girl

For fashion challenge, you really have to go all out and be thick skinned, don't care about how you look. Just be confident and show your personality. With confidence you're already halfway through the battle!

CHALLENGE 4 (Cathay Decoded Race)

This is probably the most tedious challenge out of all the challenges. We're required to form a team of 3, race and do a live event coverage. Instagramming and Geo-tagging it. Since we're already in a big group, forming into teams isn't much of a problem.

edited 11 thank you

During the process of the race, we're required to do a crossword puzzle, run around Dhoby Ghaut to Cathay Cineleisure Orchard finding QR Codes and Clues. and also vlog at the same time. DEFINITELY ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE! ♥

CHALLENGE 5 (Strike A Pose @Cineleisure)

The grand finale, we were given $10 beadstreet voucher and we need to find accessories to accessorize ourselves. Then, we need to strut down the red carpet, pose and do a runway walk. This is probably my favourite challenge because.......

Not forgetting my friends & *COUSINS* that specially made their way there to support me! ♥

Now on to the movie: The Journey (一路有你)

My say: Overall I find that the movie was kinda draggy at the beginning and it only got better at the middle. But nevertheless, great storyline. I teared when its towards the ending.

Not sure whether its based on a true story or not because the sub-title is in Mandarin and.... My mandarin isn't of a Chinese standard. (If you get what I mean).

I would rate it 3.5/5 ^.^y

AFTER THE MOVIE! We had dinner at Yoshinoya!

Mummy, Daddy, I Love You.

This will be a rather wordy post. Hahah!

I'm 22 years old this year, and I've been thinking to myself. "What if one day my parents are no longer here with me, what would I do?"

I'm sure many of you will think about this at some point in life. Recently, this question have been popping on my head. I can't help but to feel sad whenever the thought of not having my parents around with me comes to my mind. Its just... sad.

I'm very attached to my parents, well, my mom to be exact. I love her, and I can see that in the recent years, she has turned haggard and frail due to her age. I can't wait for the day where I can tell her, "Mom, you don't have to work anymore, I can support you now..." Really, I can't wait for this day to come.

466246_10150886837033514_722068311_o A P2015127_副本

Eventhough I don't come from a wealthy family, my family income is average, my parents earn just enough to support the family, but, my parents never fail to give/provide me with whatever I want.

Since young, I was pampered by my dad, whatever I want, he will buy for me, even till now, and I am truly grateful for what he has done for me, and for this family.

After having so many thoughts running through my mind, I can't help but to feel grateful and appreciative for the little things my parents do for me, and I feel that everyone should be grateful for what their parents have done for them as well.

We may complain about how our parents are nagging at us for certain things we do in life, but look on the brighter side, do you think they want to nag at you just because they feel satisfied for nagging at you? NO! They nag at you because you're doing something wrong, (OBVIOUSLY), and want you to change for the better.

I understand sometimes our parents can be in the wrong and that is because of their lack in understanding the situation, it doesn't hurt to explain to them nicely rather than screaming our heads out at them....

Put yourself in your parents shoe, how would you feel if your child were to scream at you? You'll feel hurt won't you?

I just hope that everyone would put themselves in their parents' situation before lashing out at them. Think from their perspective. You might hate them for nagging at you now, but you'll definitely wish they were there to nag at you when they're gone.

Start loving your parents like how they've showered their love for you. Start appreciating the little things they do for you before you regret, then, its too late.

Even if its just a simple dinner, they love it when you spend your time with them.

I just want to jot down at this little space of mine, remembering the little things my parents have done for me. Thank you mommy and daddy, I love you. :')
