Sinpopo Brand

When was the last time I really sat down and write about my visit to a café or a restaurant?!?! I decided to write about this particular one is because I really like the food and aesthetics about this café. How it came about was a few weeks before I visit this place, I was doing my duty in camp with one of my army mate whom I really considered as a REAL foodie. He loves exploring places in search of finding good food. So as we were resting I asked if he has any recommendation for good food for friends to hang out and chill. This was when he whipped out his phone and showed me some of the places via instagram and google (THANK YOU INTERNET) where he considered to have quite prominent food.

Once we reach the shop I was greeted with signs and nostalgic feels. The place was a mixed of local and western vibes. The staff there was kind enough to explain to us the varies of food available and recommended some of their best selling items on their menu. Well for me my main purpose was to go try their Nasi Lemak set for 2.

Looking from their menu, Sinpopo's food creation is mostly ideas from our Singapore's local delicacies with a bit of modern western twist to it. For instance, the Nasi Lemak is served in many different plates instead of lumping everything together.

I was so excited when it came to our table. They have Har Jeong Kai Wings, Sambal Ikan Bilis, Potato Wedges in Curry, Fish cake with Sambal on top, Luncheon Crisps and 2 bowl of fragrant rice with half slice of egg each. Not forgetting, their sambal chili is FREE FLOW!!!

Honestly speaking, my friends and I feel that we could finish this whole Nasi Lemak set for 2 on our own. I mean, frankly speaking the portion isn't really a lot. For us boys la. My friends and I are all big eaters. Hahah!!! After which, we ended off the meal with their Nutella Tart and 1 more cake which I forgot what we ordered already. LOL!!!

That being said, I really enjoyed my visit to Sinpopo. I definitely will be back for the other items on their menu. Till then. :)
