New Blog Design! LIKE A FINALLY!

HELLO THERE!!!!

After the long anticipate! My new blog design is finally done! Thanks to carol! She's really good at web designing and photoshopping! I'm super amazed at her skills of doing so!

I've been blogging for quite some time already, like since 2007?! But its all about my daily rant of my school and stuff! I begin taking blogging seriously ever since CNOS 2! Also known as Cineleisure's Next Online Sensation version 2.0!

Actually

At that point of time, I was letting the competition to decide my fate in blogging! HAHAHAH!

I told myself if I manage to win the top 3, I will continue to update this little blog of mine, maybe to invest a little bit in it, and if I don't, well I'll still continue blogging but maybe not that often. LOL!

AND SO! I WON!!!

I won 2nd actually! Hahah! But that is good enough for me already! Its like a recognition!

I've met so many wonderful people through the competition! Most of us are pretty good friends now, and after getting to know each other, we then realizes some of us actually just stayed a few blocks away from one another! Talking about coincidence! Hahaha!

After then!

Life goes on, and back to normal. Then I feel that there is a need to give my blog a revamp if I want to continue to blog more, as people from everywhere will somehow be coming to my blog, and I want to leave them an impression! So that is when, Damien and I approached Carol, my web designer.

But actually Damien have already approached Carol at the early start of the year, but yea, I'll leave the rest behind. But I really have to thank Damien aka UncleTehPeng for helping me talk to Carol and negotiating the price with her. Thank you so much! :))

After about 3months or so, my blog design is finally done, and it's what you're seeing right now!





Whenever you click refresh on my blog! The header will change! Hahaha! Now even my sidebar has a little hover thingy going on as well! You can try it! Hahaha!

I just love how carol asked for my opinion and such and also knowing what I want! She's really a great web designer! Hahaha!



On my sidebar there's also a contact me button! You can click on it and email me anything under the sun! Events, Reviews, Sponsorships, Collaborations, or anything!!! Just click on the contact me widget and email me. *winkwink* Hahahaha!

Not only that, now that my new blogskin's main page is 800x600 wide, I can haz bigger peektures on my blog nao! YAY ME!!!

Giant Minion Invasion & Despicable Me 2 Movie Premiere!

I know from the title this post might seem super duper long! But no worries, I'll try to keep it short! Hahah!

So being part of a CNOS blogger, I was given the privilege to witness the set up of the giant minion invasion over at The Cathay before everyone else!!! What's more! Its the ONE AND ONLY GIANT MINION BLOWUP IN SINGAPORE!!!

(Psss! They're still heading to some other place) But read on to find out where at the later part of the post!

All the setting up (excluding the cardboards) of the giant blow up minion comes from this red bag! I wonder how they mange to fit everything in!!!

So while the crew are busy setting up the blow up minion! Me and Joey were busy...... Camwhoring! Hahaha!

In the meantime, I also did a video. Just to give you guys a "live" view of how its being setup.



After they're done with the setting up of the giant blowup! Its time to set up the minion cardboards!

DESPICABLE ME MOVIE PREMIERE!

Went for Despicable Me 2 movie premiere thanks to Cineleisure and The Cathay! :D

Natalie was there at the premiere as well! Joey too! But didn't manage to take a picture with her...

THE REVIEW!



If you think the first one was good! Despicable Me 2 is EVEN BETTER! Don't worry if you have never watched Despicable me 1, because its not a continuous sequel of it!

Eventhough the main reason that why people watch Despicable Me is because of the Minions, but they still keep GRU (the main character) as the highlight of this movie!

WHAT'S MORE!

This time round, the minions are even cuter and funnier than before!



In Despicable Me 2! GRU finally found his true love, and also letting go his fear of confessing to girls! Hahah! Shall not go too in depth! If you want to know more, go watch the movie!

NOT FORGETTING!

The Optique of Tomorrow

Was invited by Evelyn to attend to new opening of T.O.T. also known as The Optique of Tomorrow, located at JEM! Thanks Evelyn! ♥




Awhile later when I arrived at T.O.T. The Managing Director of Nanyang Optical Co. Pte Ltd, Mr. Bernard Yang was telling us more about the range of spectacles/sunglasses that T.O.T has to offer.

Mr. Bernard joined Nanyang Optical business since 1996, and he has close to two decades of industry experience, in the year 2000, he co-started the distribution arm, Eye-Biz Pte Ltd, and through the years, brought the business from Singapore and Malaysia onto the global stage, mapping out distribution footprints from Asia to Europe and then finally, United States.

Besides retail and business management, Mr. Bernard utilized his technical know-how and innovative market sensitivities to help launch four proprietary brands, starting up with Urband in 2006, followed by Glossi, Linkskin and Eyelet. In addition, Bernard spearheaded the new business of providing safety eyewear to an untapped consumer segment.

Under his leadership, Nanyang Optical is now introducing The Optique of Tomorrow, T.O.T., a new retail brand dedicated to edgy designer eyewear to cater to a widened consumer base.

We were also allowed to try on all the eyewear that is available in the shop! Here's me and Joyce camwhoring!





T.O.T. sells eyewear from many different brands such as Tart Optical which symbolizes the good old American style frame in black, dark tortoise and smoke grey which was worn by James Dean in the 1950s and popularized by Johnny Depp starring in the movie Secret Window.

Glossi is another favourite brand worn by celebrities, its known for its unique coating on the frame front that creates kaleidoscope of colors. An exclusive brand at T.O.T., which was also the one that I got as a media gift, was worn by Joe Perry, singer of Aerosmith to complete his flamboyant stage presence.
