Diploma In Marketing

It is the time of the year where all polytechnic students look forward to. Graduation.

After 3 years of hard work, I have finally attained a diploma certificate. It still feels pretty surreal to me though. I still clearly remembered the day where I went down to Temasek Polytechnic to collect my enrollment package. I didn't know what to do as there are so many forms to fill, and I almost wanted to just give up! Hahaha! Sounds pretty loserish I know.

Back in my secondary school, I never thought I would be able to enter a polytechnic cuz well.... I was from Normal Technical stream, and my studies had always been very bad. But that aside, I'm really thankful that I have a bunch of great friends that went through this shit with me. Thus, it made life in school so much more fun and enjoyable.

Didn't manage to take photos with everyone. Some did not even attend the graduation!!! But anyways. There are so many people I wanna thank. People like my year 1 clique. Chun Chuan, Mooi Suen, Mellysa, YongQin, Celeste and Jiayu. Without them, year 1 would be such a chore. Thus, I wouldn't be able to adjust to poly life so easily if its not for them. Thank you for not looking down on me despite from where I came from. Thank you guys so much for helping me in my school work whenever I'm in need of help. ♥♥♥

Thank you, everyone who have made a difference in my life. Be it little or a lot. Good or bad. Last but not least, I would like to thank my Mum and Sis who specially took a day off just to come down for my graduation ceremony. I really appreciate it. :)


Now is on to the next phase of life, and I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors.

我毕业了

Unofficial Graduate

Time passes so fast, in a blink of an eye, I'm unofficially a graduate from Temasek Polytechnic. These 3 years has its ups and downs. Having to juggle my school and personal life is definitely not easy. Furthermore, coming from ITE and a Normal Technical stream has its rough times too. I mean, I'm not the kind that will really study. My friend told me straight at my face that I don't come school to study, I just come school to play. LOL?! Which I have to agree with him.

So after finishing my secondary school and ITE, I just thought, why not try my luck applying for Polytechnic? Who knows I might really get into a course that I want to study. In the end, I got into my first choice which is Business Studies Grouping at Temasek Poly.

Fast forward to year 1.2 where I had to make a decision of a diploma to go to. Among the choice of Business, Marketing, and Logistics, I chose Marketing as my choice because, well... It's project based and there's minimal exams. (as compared to the other 2 la!)

So fast forward again to year 3, its the most hectic year. Especially semester 3.2, everything is compressed into 2 months, and we have 3 modules to complete. Mainly, Public Relations, Global Marketing, and Integrated Marketing Communications aka IMC in short. All these are implemented together for our final year project where we have to come up with plans and executions for the clients that we're working with. Aka Philips AquaTouch Shavers. It wasn't an easy journey. But with my groupmates, we all managed to work it out and survived the tedious 2 months.

Finally it has hit me. Today marks the last day of poly life for me. So thankful for this bunch of bitches. Amidst the crazy FYP period, these bitches never fail to crack me up. Secretly, they are all sick in the mind 🙈 And sometimes they can be annoying as hell 😈 Good or bad, these are precious memories that I'll keep close to heart. We are finally graduating 🎓

Lets just say, I really enjoyed this 1 year with them. And now, we can finally say. 

GRADUATE LO!!!!!

I'll definitely miss the fun that we had. All those late nights at brand study. And all the sick jokes that these 95's make! Hahaha! It just shows how sick kids are these days. LOL!!!!

Semester 3 point 2

Its down to the final lap and after 12 weeks of internship, I'm finally back in school. As first week is only lectures (no tutorials, YAY), this explains the time I have to update my blog. Hahah! But still, once I'm back, I'm already bombarded with lecture notes, tutorials, client brief, individual assignments, projects, and my unfinished internship report which is due on the 17th December!!! *GAWWWWWD*

First day of school, and a mandatory photo is needed! Hahah! Took an instagram photo to tell the whole world that I'm back in the campus to strut my stuff. LOLOL?!!!

Knowing that there's Starbucks promotion for the month of December, and its 1 for 1 on that day, my friends and I rushed to the nearest Starbucks outlet to get our 1 for 1. Haha!

So for the start of our project, my friend decided to encourage us (the group) by ordering pizza for us, as a form of motivation and to keep our spirits up to do better for our projects. Can I say the best leader award goes to him??? He literally fed us like a pig. LOLOLOLOL!!!

As I've mention that I'm being thrown with so many things to do on the first week of school, there's no explanations needed that I need to stay back in school to do up my work. So this coming few weeks, I have to succumb to having McDonalds for lunch/dinner almost every day.

And so, knowing that NAPFA test is on the next day, I still had McDonalds. But what got me really upset is that I didn't even get to take my NAPFA test, and I only got to know on the day itself.

I was super duper pissed off. Like why can't they inform us beforehand that people who's status that are still pending or still waiting for further medical referral are not required to take the test. They made us carry a whole bag of "barang barangs" the entire day! Gawwddd!

On Friday, I decided to go out and have some retail therapy. Got myself another bottle of VS Perfume and a hoodie from cotton on. It was like a carefree Friday.

And while I was walking past Marina Square, I saw that the queue at llaollao was kinda short, so I thought, why not queue for it, since its been quite awhile since I last had one.

This sums up my whole week. Haha! Its back to school tomorrow, and I have lessons at 9am! I don't know why but I'm kinda excited for class! LOLOL! Its my first tutorial for semester 3.2 btw.

Ups & Downs

So... It has been a week plus since my internship ended and honestly, I didn't thought that I would do a post specially for it because.... Well. Cuz I hated my internship initially, then feelings, friendships and deep relationship started coming in and POOF! Feelings changed.

For the first few weeks I was pretty looking forward to the end of my internship cuz I thought I won't be forging any relationships with the people there. But I was wrong. Everyone there was so caring and nice to me that its almost impossible to say "NO" to them. Even my supervisors were very nice and I like the fact that I could easily communicate with "almost" everyone in the office.

3 more working days. Leggo! Once again, thank you @dylantehyeeheng haha! 🙌

I guess I can't reveal where I was posted to for my internship but its somewhere near the east area where all the logistics area are located.

So 12 weeks past pretty fast and when it was the last day of my internship, I bought a little something for the people that I've been with and thought me a thing or two along the way. I still can't believed I cried so bad before I left the office. Hahah!

The next day after I left the office, I'd still receive texts from the people in the office telling me how much they've appreciated my little thoughts and how much they missed me already. But to be honest, I don't think I'll be going back there to work as a full timer because it's not really the kind of job that I wanna do. Yet still, I really appreciate the things that the people in the office has done for me, and not forgetting my two really funny, cute and irritating supervisors.

And so... It has come to an end.... Going through lots of emotions when we're leaving the office. And my supervisor on the left says he likes my transformers HP cover and that he wants to hold it to take the Polaroid. It's been a fun filled journey over the past 12 weeks and it's definitely hard saying goodbye. But nevertheless, we did, and this experience and journey will always be a part of our memories. 😢😭

What I Do For Marketing

So hello all! This post is gonna be me sharing the things that I did for my entire Polytechnic year 2 journey in Temasek Polytechnic. Well if you guys don't know, I'm currently studying Diploma in Marketing. I can't say its completely boring or I hate it, its a mixture of good and bad if you'd ask me.

So throughout this whole year, I've had some modules that we had real life clients for our projects, clients such as Samsung, IKEA, Clinique and Lab Series. So when we're coming out with an idea, we will tend to create some videos for our projects, so here are some of it which me and my groupmates have created throughout our year 2 journey.

Creative Campaign Project
For this project, our client is Samsung, and we have to create an event in school to raise awareness of Samsung's galaxy note 10.1, the great thing about this module is that Samsung generously loan us a tablet for each group in every class, and we get to play with it.

So here's the video that me and my groupmates created before the event, our main purpose for the video is to raise awareness and also to get students in school to go to our booth on the day itself.



Next up for component 2 of this project, we're required to come up with 5 ideas and to execute 1 of it. So my group decided on Samsung's Birthday Bash. Actually, we are also time constraint so we just had to make do with what we had at that point of time. So yea.



Advertising & Promotion
One of the module which I look forward to taking. I took this module during semester 2.2, which is recently la. We had to choose the types of media to place our advertisements in one of the component for this project, and my group chose TV Ads. Therefore we have to come up with a "TV Ads" kinda thing for our project presentation, so this is the video that we have come up with.



As you can see, the video above is slightly incomplete, this is because I uploaded the draft onto Youtube instead of the finalized one. But you guys get the idea! It's just the credit part is not done, the video that we did was somehow like what you've seen above.

Same reason for why I like Jeremy! Cuz she's pretty! I think that she just keeps relying on her looks like how Kristen from Cycle 19 did lor! But oh wells! We shall wait and see. hahaha!

OKAY! SHE IS MY ULTIMATE FAVOURITE FROM THIS CYCLE! REASON BEING, SHE RESEMBLES Allison Harvard + Sophie Sumner!!!
