This Is Not Goodbye

This post is gonna be a rather personal one. Maybe not. Well, its a post specially dedicated to someone whom I really look up to, and its non other than Joey (@iisjong).

[5th February 2016]

Met up with Damien to have a farewell dinner with Joey before she set off on her journey at Aussie. When she told us that she'll most likely reside over there PERMANENTLY I was kinda sad cuz:

1) I'll have 1 friend lesser in Singapore.
2) I'll miss seeing her at events and stuff.
3) I have 1 less person to bitch to. :(

So. I sort of hear about Joey around mid 2012 where she was crowned the winner for Singapore Blog Award Best Y-Bloggist. That is when I get to know this bitch girl existed. HAHAHA!!!

Then come 2013, where Cathay Cineleisure together with Nuffnang once again organised Cineleisure's Next Online Sensation V2.0. I then saw Joey posted her video entry submission for the competition. Fast forward 1 month later, friendships were forged and we became good friends together with some of the other bloggers.

wish u were here

Its quite amazing how time flies when you're not noticing and only come to miss the times when its gone. Like how people say, time is precious, and it does not wait. Once gone, means its gone forever.

Like what I've mentioned previously, Joey is one of the people/blogger that I look up to and pretty well respected. Not the prettiest looking but definitely one of the prettiest at heart. Normally I don't even praise my own friends like that. LOL!

I wish for Joey all the best for her studies and future endeavour. Please stay safe, and take good care of yourself. Not sure what you'll be expecting over at Aussie but I'll be supporting you back here in Singapore. Do let us know if you're ever coming back so that we can arrange a meet up together with the rest again. :')

Till then, Bon Voyage.

GRUB Café

A P2061029

Unlike any other cafe's, GRUB is a standalone cafe located at Bishan Park 1. With only trees and ponds surrounding the area, its definitely a good place to hang out if you're looking for somewhere quiet to chill alone or with your friends.

My friend and I was deciding on where to meet so I suggested GRUB since its quite impromptu and its near our home as well, sooo we decided on that place. The time we went was around 2pm so at that time GRUB was serving their brunch menu.

We ordered 2 appetizers; Mentaiko Fries ($9), and Fried Chicken Wings 6 Pieces ($8)
Mains; GRUB Breakfast plate w/ Pork thyme sausage ($16),  3-Cheese Pasta Grain ($12)

Overall its quite filling, and it tastes better as compared to the dinner menu IMO. Cuz previously I came and I had their dinner menu, the burgers and patty were quite dry.

After our brunch, we walked around the park to take some photos and then its home sweet home. Come to think of it. I really enjoy spending time with my friends, catching up with each other's life. I mean, after high school/college, we went our own separate ways. Some went on to work full time, while the boys are now serving their 2 years of national service. Sometimes I wonder how we'll be like 10 years down the road...

Japan Visuals Day 1

Hello There. It's the eve of CNY Eve. Everyone's doing their last minute shopping CNY this coming week and that includes me as well. So to keep this space alive, I'm going to post some of the Japan photos that I took way back in 2009 where I went for a school exchange programme during my ITE Nitec year. Photos are all taken using my old Canon Powershot E1 camera. :)

We took a midnight flight over to Japan so it took us half a day to get to our destination.

Upon reaching Narita International Airport, we still have to take a 1hour plane ride to our destination. And did I mention that it was FREEEEEEEZING when we touched down at the airport?!?!?! BRRRRR!!!

First thing we did when we touched down at our destination was to have our lunch at some local restaurant. Then after that, we went for a tea appreciation ceremony held at a local place where its kinda formal. LOL! Its my first time drinking authentic green tea, and we were given a sweet to munch cuz apparently the green tea is REALLY BITTER. The sweet is used to sweeten our tastebuds a little.

After the tea appreciation ceremony, we then checked into the first hotel that we'll be staying in. FYI we changed quite a number of hotels due to the places and locations we'll be going for the following days. So anyways, after we checked in to our hotel, we quickly changed and headed out for our dinner.

You know I have this "THING" for McDonald's. Like every country that I go to, I'll definitely try the McDonald's there. So without any hesitation, I went off to buy McDonald's for supper before heading back to our hotel. LOL!! When ordering, I had so much difficulty cuz the people there don't really speak English. So I have to depend on my communicating skills by pointing to the cashier the menu of the things I want to order.

That sums up my first day in Japan. More visuals will be up soon. :)
