Met up with my friends at Changi Airport Terminal 1 and stayed in the airport overnight till we can check in at around 5am. Our flight is at 7am++ btw.

Was FAMISHED! So we had Buger King for dinner/supper.

Well, we had HOURS before we can check in our luggage, so I took this time to take some OOTD shots. Hahaha! TOTALLY AYG! LOLOLOL!

And here's the amount of stuff I've packed in my hand carry. Hahaha! I put a whole packet of tissues because I have this thing whereby I will have running nose whenever I'm on a plane. So yeap! Precaution is better than cure! :D

Around 4.30am-ish, we then prepared and walked all the way to Terminal 1 check in counter to check in our luggage. Then we had our breakfast at McDonalds.

AFTER A LONG 4 TO 4 HOURS FLIGHT. WE'VE FINALLY REACHED TAIWAN, TAIPEI (台灣, 台北)
SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I'm super excited and was practically screaming in excite!!! and was smiling to myself when the plane was preparing for landing.

Here's our itinerary for Day 1 of Taiwan btw! My friend is super awesome to note down every single detail of what we need to do! :D

 photo P9222040.jpg

Reached at about 12pm++. When we alight, we had to pass through the custom and get our passport chopped before we can cross over the boarders and pick up our luggage.

After collecting our luggages, the first thing we did was to buy their 3G + Data Micro Sim Card. Hahaha! For a social media whore like me, I can't live a day without the internet. I bought the 7 days unlimited data usage and 150 NTD Credits Micro Sim Card for 500 NTD. Do take note, they only sell sim cards for iPhones and Android Mobile Phones. So nokia and blackberry users, do take note yea! :D

 photo P9201858.jpg

After getting our 3G Micro Sim Card, we then headed down 1 level to get our bus tickets to Taipei Main Station.

 photo P9201859.jpg

The bus ticket costs 125 NTD, so its about $5 SGD. The interval for buses arriving is about 10 - 15 minutes, so do take note, if you're dying of hunger, you can go to the convenience store located near the bus interchange to get some snacks before boarding the bus. :D

Before boarding the bus, the bus captain would have to check your tickets before allowing you to put your luggage and board the bus.

MY UBER CHIO NAILS THANKS TO MYNT! :D

Reached Taipei Main Station and bought their Easy Card, which is similar to our Singapore's very own EZ Link Card. Had to pay 200 NTD which is around $20 SGD, 100 NTD Deposit and 100 NTD Credits to use.

Took Blue Line Train (Towards BanQiao, YongNing) to Xi Men Station.

Reached Xi Men train station and alighted there, walked out of exit 6, and we're at the entrance of 西門町. My friends and I are staying at 2 different hostels which I will be talking about in the later posts of my Taiwan Travelogue. Met up with the hostel owner and he brought us to the first hostel that we'll be staying for the night.

Taipei Crazy House!

The hostel owner was super nice to give me and my friend a 3 person's room. Hahaha! While the girls get a 2 person's room. Hahaha!

The hostel was so awesome, I just had to instavideo it down! Hahah!

The first few parts you see is the corridor of the hostel, and the last 2 part is my room! :D
The room is super small and cozy, perfect for couples, and at a perfect height (according to my friend). Haha!

The painting of the room is awesome too! I couldn't stop "WAAAAA-ING" from the moment I stepped into the room.

There's a queen sized bed and a single bed, obviously YOURSTRULY took the queen sized one! HAHAHAHA!!!

After checking out our room, done bathing and etc. We then head off to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市). Took the red line to Jiantan Station (劍潭).

SEE! I told you my friend is super hardworking!!! He even print out the map location and all! Felt extremely safe with him around!! ^.^

Wore slippers and really regretted! It rained at the later part of our trip and my feet hurts from all the walking. So my advise to everyone who's going to night markets or traveling. NEVER WEAR SLIPPERS!!!

 photo P9201904.jpg

Walked around Shilin Night Market, and all I bought is food! Hahah! Had their famous Ah Zhong Mian Xian, and Sa Niao Chicken Cutlet! Both costs less than 100 NTD (Individually)! Darn cheap!!!

It rained, and my feet hurts from wall the walking, so we then head back to our hostel, but before that, I was craving for McDonalds, so yeap! Bought the 2 piece chicken meal, and I had quite a difficulty ordering, mainly because Taiwan people speaks Chinese, and my Chinese is 1/2 bucket one! :(
